The Wines of Chepstowe
Chepstowe
is a 7.5 acre Vineyard high on the hill named Chepstowe, 30km west of
Ballarat. The vineyard is
planted exclusively to the noble varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Premium
Medal winning wines have been produced since 1997. Chepstowe
Pinot Noir is a deeply coloured
richly flavoured wine, reminiscent of fine burgundy.
With superb balance and structure, it is a wine to savour now or cellar
for 5 – 7 years.
Chepstowe Chardonnay
is a complex barrel fermented, oak matured wine with Chablis like
characteristics. A distinctive cool climate wine with cellaring potential.
To travel to Chepstowe Vineyard take the
Ballarat - Carngham - Beaufort Road (Route C296) from Ballarat.
Turn at the Chepstowe Vineyard signs just near the "Streatham
