Ballarat By The Glass

Throughout the month of November a range of events and activities are offered, which promote Ballarat wines and fine food.  Local people and visitors to the Ballarat Region have a wide range of venues, cuisines, music and wines to choose from.

In 2016 a number of Ballarat restaurants and cafes offer Lunch and Dinner Menus with particular dishes matched to specific local wines.

Every Saturday in November: 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Duck and Pinot Dinner -
Three restaurants each present a special duck dish accompanied by two different local Pinot Noir wines.
The evening starts with a sparkling wine, with desert and coffee an optional extra at the end.
A third of the guests start at each restaurant and rotate each hour to sample a duck dish accompanied by 2 Ballarat Pinot Noirs.  2016 -  the 3 restaurants are Craig's Royal Hotel, Red Peppa on Sturt and the Golden City. 


Open Cellar Door - each weekend local wineries
give participants the opportunity to meet wine makers, taste their wines, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon of wine, food and music.
